Detroit Health Department

  • What:

    • The Detroit Health Department offers reproductive health services through the Federal Title X program. This program allows the Health Department to provide reproductive health care to adults and adolescents at low or no cost. 

  • Cost:

    • Depends on the service and ability to pay, no insurance is required.

  • Services offered:

    • Information on birth control and sexual health, healthy pregnancy planning, pregnancy testing and counseling, testing and treatment for STIs and HIV, and preventative health exams to screen for cancer/other health issues. 

  • Location and hours of operation:

    • They are located at 100 Mack Ave, Detroit, MI 48201 and their hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

iDecide Detroit

  • What:

    • iDECIDE DETROIT is a network of teen-friendly reproductive health care providers that operate through the Detroit Health Department.

  • Cost:

    • All visits are free.

  • Services offered:

    • Condoms, birth control, STI testing and treatment to help people protect their sexual health. 

  • Location and hours of operation:

    • They are located at 100 Mack Ave, Detroit, MI 48201 and their hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

  • Other notes:

    • Call them to make an appointment for a confidential visit with one of their medical providers. There are same day appointments available.

Women's Health Collective

  • What:

    • Their mission is to serve both those who have been assigned female at birth as well as those who identify as women, non-binary, or gender queer. They have worked to offer services that have proven to be effective in optimizing health but may not be considered mainstream. 

  • Cost:

    • No free services, but they accept insurance for most services.

  • Services offered: 

    • Gynelogical care, sexual health, integrative options, fitness, education, empowerment, telemedicine, and pelvic rehabilitation + education.

  • Location and hours of operation:

    • Open Monday-Friday (varying hours)

      • Monday – 8:30 AM to 5 PM

      • Tuesday – 9 AM to 6 PM

      • Wednesday – 8:30 AM to 5 PM

      • Thursday – 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

      • Friday – 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Corner Health Center

  • What: 

    • Their mission is to inspire 12 to 25-year-olds (and their children) to achieve and sustain healthy lives by providing judgment-free, affordable health and wellness care and education

  • Cost:

    • Fees usually range from $5 to $30

  • Services offered:

    • Offers a range of sexual health services such as birth control & ECP, STI testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, and pregnancy tests and care.

  • Location and hours of operation:

    • Open Monday - Friday

      • Monday 9am-5pm

    • They don’t ask about immigration status and patients do not need a social security number. There are no residency requirements to be a patient. Patients can get free bus tokens to get to and from appointments. This center cannot make referrals for or provide abortions.

Hope Recovery

  • What: 

    • Hope Recovery is a nonprofit organization that specializes in supporting adult survivors of abuse and sexual trauma on their journey of healing.

  • Cost: 

    • Free 

  • Services Offered:

    •  Hope Recovery offers survivors of abuse and sexual trauma a variety of support groups, workshops, newsletters, and publications to assist, educate and support the journey of healing. In addition to offering support for survivors, they also provide various volunteering opportunities if you are interested. 

  • Location and Hours of Operation:

    • All group meetings are held online and times vary depending on your schedule

    • You can ask any questions or sign up for group online

  • Other Notes: 

    • There may be a waiting list to be part of a group, but it moves relatively quickly

Planned Parenthood of Michigan

  • What:

    • Planned Parenthood delivers vital health care, sex education, and sexual health information to people of all ages, gender identities, national origins, races, and sexual orientations

  • Costs: 

    • Though we are not sure about the costs for consultation, there are free resources and information on the website. There are also several volunteer/internship opportunities.

  • Services offered: 

    • Telehealth, annual wellness exam, birth control visit, hormonal implant insertion, infection check, pregnancy test, STI testing, abortion pill, in-clinic abortion, IUD/UIC insertion

Family Life Services of Washtenaw

  • What: 

    • The Family Life Services of Washtenaw is dedicated to serving women facing unplanned pregnancies. 

  • Costs: 

    • Appointments are free of charge in a completely non-judgemental and confidential environment

  • Services Offered: 

    • They offer Clinical Pregnancy Testing and Confirmation, Ultrasound Exams, Gestational Age Determination, Complete Pregnancy and Abortion Options Consultation, and Medical, Insurance, and Community Support Referrals

  • Location and Hours of Operation: 

    • 840 Maus Ave, Ypsilanti, MI 48198

    • They have pretty quick appointment availability that you can easily book online. They have appointment availability Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The center hours are Monday and Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. - 5 p.m and from Friday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
